WoW! Knights dropping the puck from space. Can you top that on the home opener Fletch? |

No surprise the decline in Czech hockey has coincided with the decline in the flyers |

That would be nice. They have a difficult sched to begin the year, and really need to bring it Friday, but TBH I have no idea what to expect from this team.
I am definitely willing to give them 10-15 games to get used to the coaching staff/new players etc, but regardless, if they start the season poorly the pressure is going to be ratcheted up very quickly. If in December they are not in a playoff spot or very close to one, I can see changes being made.
For the first time in a bit, I have zero idea what this team will do, and won't be shocked if they are improved nor have a similar year to last. I "hope" they are improved, but nothing I have seen so far tells me that they are. |

Hi Bill, I would add Radovan Somik from 2002-2003 season to the list of Slovaks in Flyers history. I think he was one of the better RW that season for us, playing very effectively. - Keith25
Somik was a solid player. All I remember from Radevojevic is him always getting robbed in 2004. Images of him getting stoned by the Bulin wall repeatedly in the 2004 semis are etched in my mind.. |

The spittin chicklets podcast with Richie talked about Branko a bit. Hitchcock apparently used him as a scapegoat/whipping boy. Richie said that when Hitch would get tired of yelling at a veteran or someone he knew would chirp him back, he would just yell to the other side of the bench where Branko would be, minding his business, and just start yelling, "Branko what the (frank)?!?"
You get some great stories listening to that pod, would highly recommend listening to the JR one, that one roped me in. Also, the Branden Walsh one is a classic |

He needs to make room for Stewart's 3 year contract haha..
Seriously though, this is disappointing as is Myers not making the club. I can see both up soon however. |

With Farabee headed back to the Allentown apartment he shares with Frost, I think Myers will be added to the roster as soon as Welinski can be waived. |

Did they send Farabee home or is he still with the team at least? |

They made him take a bus to London, and then he has to row across the Atlantic. |

He is with the team, and will join the Phantoms after the return from Prague. |

I hope Justin Braun does well, because his signing is the reason Myers was sent down. I just don't get why this organization is so reluctant to play the younger players. More seasoning! |

I know. Lindblom, Konecny, Laughton, Twarynski, Bunnaman, Provorov, Haag, Sanheim, Ghost and Hart are all so old. Add Morin to that list and you have 12 players of the 23 man roster that would be considered young players. Keep in mind NoPa, Myers and Farabee will see time with the team this year. If only they played the "young" guys. |

I don't know if I'd call a 25 year old and a 26 year old "young" players. |
